The Journey
Born into a large family, Joan and
her twin brother John were the youngest of nine children in Rural South Texas. Although the family couldn't afford
many of the luxuries and even some of the nessessities, a strong faith in God is a heritage that has seen her through many
difficult periods in her life.
Beginning with the tragic loss of her twin
at the age of 13, she encountered circumstances that sent her searching for answers and for the peace that seemed to be shattered
forever. In her personal testimony, she shares many of the things that she sought to replace the only real source of happiness,
The same Jesus that she had loved and served as a child.
After many trying years of disappointments
and defeats, Joan returned at last to the faith she had known growing up. She once again submitted herself, and her talents,
to the Lord and asked that He use her to reach others. She stands firmly on the scripture in 2 Cor. 1: 3-4 that tells us we
are to comfort others with the same comfort we receive.
Her longstanding love for music along with
this burning desire to minister to the lost and hurting would be the foundation upon which God began what is now known as
Joan Jackson Ministries. The Lord has touched and anointed her voice and her talents and has given her opportunities to share,
not only her songs but her testimony, faith, and even her sense of humor, with many people in all walks of life. She shares
her faith through concerts, seminars, retreats and any where the Lord opens the door for ministry.
Whether it is from a church platform or a tent ministry to the homeless, singing or speaking, the message she brings is always
the same, Jesus loves you and wants to meet you right where you are. He wants to fill every need in your life as only He can
do.
